After witnessing the gallant, patriotic “non-filibuster” against Obamacare by Senator Ted Cruz, Americans then watched as veteran Senator and Former Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain, betrayed any Republican ideals he might have ever had, and basically give the Democrats’ Response to his own Party Member’s historic speech.
To say it was disgusting, is an understatement.
Speaking as an average American, it was heart-breaking, aggravating, and unconscionable to watch the shriveled up, past-his usefulness, former “Maverick” pucker up and kiss Obama’s and the Democrats’ collective (I used that word on purpose) derriere, like a septuagenarian Oliver Twist, wanting another bowl of gruel.
Please, sir. May I have some more?
Judas received 30 pieces of silver for betraying Our Lord and Savior. What are McCain and the rest of these Vichy Republican Turncoats receiving for the worst betrayal of America, since Benedict Arnold?
Whatever they are receiving for their duplicitous behavior, I hope it is worth the end of the Republican Party.
Don’t get me wrong, like you, I knew this was coming. The Vichy Republicans have been a bunch of self-serving grifters since before the days of Ronald Reagan. Heck, if they had had their way, Ronaldus Magnus never would have been the greatest President of the United States of America in our lifetime. What overcame their Progressive plans for our country back then, was a very good, decent, and honest man, who had a desire to serve his country, and make things better for average Americans, like you and me.
Unlike the present occupant of the White House, Ronald Wilson Reagan not only talked the talk…he walked the walk.
And, as horrifying and self-serving as the actions of McCain and the Republican Elite are, the patriotism and leadership which Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and their allies showed, gives us hope for the future
And, we’re going to need that leadership, and these public servants, to protect this country from the “regime”.
The other big news yesterday was Secretary of State John (I fought in Vietnam.) Kerry, without the blessing of Congress, signing the UN Arms Trade Treaty.
The U.N. Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) requires countries to regulate and control the export of weaponry such as battle tanks, combat vehicles and aircraft and attack helicopters, as well as parts and ammunition for such weapons. It also provides that participating countries will not violate arms embargoes, international treaties regarding illicit trafficking, or sell weaponry to countries for genocide, crimes against humanity or other war crimes.
With the unwavering support of Obama and his Administration, the ratifying General Assembly vote totaled 155 to 3, with 22 abstentions. Iran, Syria and North Korea voted against it.
The problem with the treaty is that is positively porous, due to all of the loopholes contained in it. The list of controlled weaponry in it includes “small arms and light weapons”. Of course, the U.N. claims that the pact is meant to regulate only cross-border trade and would have no impact on domestic U.S. laws and markets.
The Senate Republicans have threatened to block this violation of our sovereignty, but, then again, they said that they would stand against Obamacare, too, didn’t they?
My question is, what legitimate right does the United Nations and any of the countries therein, have to “make rulings” affecting the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution and us American citizens who are protected under it?
This Administration seems bound and determined to make America into just another nation, assigning American Exceptionalism (regardless of the show he put on for Putin) to the trash heap of history.
Their pure ignorance to America’s place in the world is overwhelming. Only by standing up to the thug nations represented at the UN, will America be respected, and left alone, as the sovereign nation that we are.
Obama’s bowing and scraping, like a leader of a country who occupied a subservient position to nations filled with barbarians, who would slit every American’s throat, if given the chance, is an stunning example of this naivete and downright ignorance.
And, now, what’s twice as frightening, is the fact that, except for what seems to be a minority of the “so-called” “Opposition Party”, average Americans like you and me, have no one in a position of authority to truly speak for us.
Our present “Republican Leadership”, like the former “Maverick”, now Democrat Lackey, speaks only for themselves, and their own avarice.
That’s why Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and the rest of the “Young Conservatives” are a badly-needed breath of fresh air.
Come to think of it, that’s why Facebook is shutting down the pages of Conservatives. Dissension will not be tolerated, by the Progressives of both sides of the aisle.
Witness McCain’s disgusting display yesterday.
Just like King George thought that raising taxes and hiring Hessian mercenaries to keep our forefathers in line, America’s Modern-day Tyrants, the Progressives, mistakenly believe that lies, threats, and censorship will stifle The Tea Party Movement, along with America’s Majority Conservative population.
They expect us to surrender to their Marxist ideas for running and thereby, ruining, the greatest country on the face of God’s green Earth.
They have forgotten their American History.
Gen. Anthony Clement McAuliffe is best remembered for uttering a single word — no mean feat, considering that even the shortest Bible verse has two. Commanding the U.S. Army’s beleaguered and surrounded 101st Airborne Division during World War II’s Battle of the Bulge, McAuliffe received a German surrender ultimatum. “Nuts!” he replied, and became a lasting symbol of American courage and determination under fire.
A 1918 West Point graduate, McAuliffe held various field artillery positions before World War II. On the eve of D-Day, McAuliffe jumped with the first wave as a commander of division artillery, although he had never received formal parachute training.
In December 1944, during the siege of Bastogne, Belgium, McAuliffe was acting commander of the 101st in Gen. Maxwell D. Taylor’s absence. The Americans had been holding the Belgian town “at all costs,” and on Dec. 22, Gen. McAuliffe received the encouraging news that the 4th Armored Division was beginning its drive north to relieve the 101st. Later that morning, members of the division’s glider regiment saw four Germans coming up the road carrying a white flag. Everyone hoped they were offering surrender. Instead, they presented two pages demanding the Americans’ surrender: “To the USA Commander of the encircled town of Bastogne. . .There is only one possibility. . .the honorable surrender of the encircled town.”
McAuliffe glanced at the message and said, “Aw, nuts!” When he told his commanders he didn’t know what answer to send, Lt. Col. Harry Kinnard said ‘That first crack you made would be hard to beat, General.” Everyone laughed as a sergeant typed up the succinct response: “To the German Commander: Nuts! The American Commander.”
Between this stoic reply, Patton’s troops from the south, and a change in the weather that allowed air reinforcement the following day, the 101st was able to hold Bastogne. Their victory resulted in the first full-Division Presidential Distinguished Unit Citation.
McAuliffe’s actions at Bastogne helped assure the final defeat of the Germans.
After reading Gen. McAuliffe’s story, if you are an average American, like me, facing the betrayal of those who are supposed to be OUR public servants, you can only reply with a heartfelt “Amen!” and a promise that
I have not yet begun to fight!
Until He Comes,
