If You Can’t Beat Him, Disgrace Him: Media Matter’s Brock Offers Money for Dirt on Trump

th64bfe7qoYesterday, in a wonderful moment of schadenfreude, Republican Presidential Candidate Donald J. Trump pulled a classic bit of shenanigans on the Democratic Operatives known as the Main Stream Media, invited by him to a press conference where they believed that he was going to talk about and admit to being a Birther, one of those who believes that Barack Hussein Obama, as I discussed yesterday, was actually born in Kenya.

However, when Hillary’s sycophants got there, they found out that they have been played as the press conference was actually in honor of America’s military.
Of course that ticked off the media to no end, and you can expect them to be digging dirt up from all corners of the world on Donald J. Trump, as they tried to prevent what now, to anyone who has half a brain, appears to be the inevitable election of Donald J. Trump as our next president.

Hillary Clinton ally David Brock is offering to pay for new information on Donald Trump, hoping that damaging audio or video on the Republican presidential candidate will be submitted to his super PAC.

Brock, founder of the left-wing Media Matters and operator of Correct the Record super PAC, recently posted the plea on Correct the Record’s website and is referring to the project as “TrumpLeaks,” NBC News reported.

Brock asked for video or audio of Trump that has yet to be released.

“One of the most important things for voters to evaluate in any election is the full measure of a candidate’s views, ideas, and temperament over time,” the website states. “In making a choice for president, voters must also consider how various candidates present themselves to the public and to the world. There are few things more important in that regard than access to video or audio in the form of prior television or radio interviews or more candid video from events a candidate may have attended.”

Brock’s super PAC goes on to say they can offer compensation to anyone who has new video or audio that has been obtained legally.

“TrumpLeaks is an effort to uncover unreported video or audio of Donald Trump so voters can have access to the Donald Trump who existed before running for president and before his recent affinity for teleprompters,” the website says of the project. “TrumpLeaks can provide some compensation to those who have usable, undoctored video or audio that has been legally obtained or is legally accessible.”

NBC News noted that the project is “highly unusual” and seems to “cross a new line” in modern day politics.

So, what sort of low-life would do something like this? A “highly unusual” one.

Born in 1962, David Brock is an openly gay author, a former conservative turned leftist, and the founder of Media Matters For America, which monitors the media for evidence of “conservative misinformation.” 

In the early 1980s Brock was a student at UC Berkeley, where he was active in conservative campus journalism. After graduating, he worked for a number of years at the Heritage Foundation, the Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Times. 

..By the fall of 2003, Brock had his sights set on creating a new Internet-basedinitiative—Media Matters For America—a political rapid-response websitethat would monitor and criticize conservative media. Around that same time, at a Washington DC meeting of friends and supporters of Hillary Clinton, Brock met Susie Tompkins Buell, co-founder of the fashion company Esprit and a major donor to Democratic causes. When Brock told Buell about his Media Matters idea, she was highly receptive. “It just made so much sense to me,” Buell later recalled. “All this garbage that’s coming out of the Right is like the worst contamination of this country…. He [Brock] brought so much understanding of what goes on over there. He’s very articulate, and very, very bright.” So impressed was Buell, that she eventually held a fundraiser for Brock and his new project at her San Francisco home.

According to Glenn Thrush of Newsday, Hillary Clinton personally “encourag[ed]” and “advised Brock on creating” Media Matters as “a liberal equivalent of the Media Research Center, a conservative group that has aggravated Democrats for decades.” When Brock formally announced the launch of Media Matters in early May 2004, billionaire George Soros and former Clinton chief-of-staff John Podesta helped him raise $2 million for the venture. Moreover, as Glenn Thrush noted: “[Hillary] Clinton’s extended family of contributors, consultants and friends … played a pivotal role in helping Media Matters grow,” in terms of both its size and its operating budget. Moreover, Brock hired the aforementioned Neel Lattimore, Mrs. Clinton’s press secretary and confidante, as a director of “special projects” for Media Matters.

In 2010 Brock founded American Bridge 21st Century, a self-described “progressive research and communications organization” that conducts opposition research designed to help Democratic political candidates.

That same year, Brock served on the board of directors for the Progressive States Network, a New York City-based association of leftist leaders and activists seeking to “pass progressive legislation in all fifty states.”..In November 2013, Brock launched Correct the Record (CTR), a rapid-response organization devoted to discrediting criticisms aimed against Hillary Clinton. CTR’s staff—consisting of 18 people as of September 2014—works round-the-clock in the offices of American Bridge 21st Century.

When I was doing this research on David Brock, I accidentally typed in the name “Eddie Brock”. Eddie Brock is a character in the Spiderman comic book, a rival of Peter Parker, who merges with an alien life form to become an evil super villain.

Actually, my initial research was a moment of irony.

While Eddie Brock is a fictional character who does not know the difference between right and wrong and whose psyche has devolved into a Whirlpool of seething hatred,oblivious of the difference between right and wrong whose ethics are situational and his morality is relative, David Brock is right there with him.

To Brock, the end justifies the means, no matter how many lies are told or how many people are hurt in the process.

The bounty he has put out on Donald J. Trump reeks of desperation and is an acknowledgement that Trump is indeed the better candidate.

Brock knows the failures and frailties of Hillary Clinton better than we do.

Thanks to Hillary’s lies and shortcomings, including her public health issues, dutifully recorded by social media reporters, as I have written in past articles, even the Main Stream Media is finding itself unable to cover for her anymore.

The public distrusts them and nobody is buying what they are selling.

So now, David Brock, like his mentor George Soros, believes that he can buy Hillary the presidency.

Unfortunately for him, no matter what he posts, Americans aren’t going to buy it.

When it comes to Donald J. Trump, Americans are believing what they see and hear, not what the Liberals in the Media, Main Stream and Social,  claim to be reality.

Just as with the erroneous claim of Hillary’s pneumonia, we have to ask ourselves, do we believe their lies or reality?
