FoxNews.com reports that

Former FBI Director James Comey blasted U.S. Attorney John Durham over his statement objecting to the newly released report from DOJ Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz looking into the origins of the Russia investigation.

Following the release of Horowitz’s report, which noted several significant errors in the highly controversial Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) application process but found no evidence of wide-reaching political bias within the FBI, Durham in a rare move released a statement of his own revealing that his ongoing investigation was drawing a different conclusion from what the DOJ watchdog found.

“Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing, last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened,” Durham said in a statement.

“I have the utmost respect for the mission of the Office of Inspector General and the comprehensive work that went into the report prepared by Mr. Horowitz and his staff,” Durham also stated. “However, our investigation is not limited to developing information from within component parts of the Justice Department. Our investigation has included developing information from other persons and entities, both in the U.S. and outside of the U.S.”

Appearing on MSNBC, Comey took exception to Durham’s unprecedented statement.

“I can’t make any sense of it,” Comey reacted. “First of all, what is he doing talking about his work? He’s supposed to be a professional. If you must investigate, go get facts and then show them to the American people, but don’t be part of a sliming of the IG and the department as a whole. Do your work, but I have no idea what the work is that he’s doing. We’ll have to be quiet again, wait for the work to be finished.”

He then offered a warning for the U.S. attorney.

“What I worry about for Mr. Durham is when someone needs to investigate him when he doesn’t support the president’s conspiracy theories,” Comey said.

“Do you think that’s possible?” MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace asked.

“Of course, given the way these people act,” Comey responded. “He’s a pro by reputation. He will gather facts, but if he doesn’t find the facts that these characters want, there’ll be somebody put on him.”

Earlier in the day, Comey claimed vindication following the release of the Horowitz report.

“So it was all lies,” Comey tweeted, in an apparent reference to President Trump’s claims that the FBI wrongly investigated his ties to Russia. “No treason. No spying on the campaign. No tapping Trumps wires. It was just good people trying to protect America.”

Comey, in his tweet and in a Washington Post op-ed, appeared to downplay the “significant concerns” cited in the report over the bureau’s efforts to seek the highly controversial FISA warrant to monitor former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page in the early months of the investigation. The IG probe identified at least 17 “significant inaccuracies and omissions” in the Page applications and said a new audit into the FISA process would take place.

“Although it took two years, the truth is finally out,” Comey wrote in his op-ed.

There is a reason why Inspector General Horowitz was reticent to blatantly declare the existence of political bias in the upper echelon of the FBI in his report.

As President Trump once stated, He is an “Obama Guy”.

Let’s look at the IG’s history.

  • He received his Juris Doctor from Harvard, where he was taught by the likes of upstanding individuals like Barney Franks.
  • Horowitz worked in DOJ from 1991 to 2002. In the early 1990s, he worked for former fired FBI Director Comey while the two of them were in the Southern District of New York.
  • He worked from 2002 to 2012 as a partner at Cadwalader, Wickersham, & Taft LLP, where he specialized in on white-collar defense, internal investigations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Horowitz was nominated by President Obama in July 2011 to be Inspector General of the DOJ.
  • He has been Inspector General since starting in 2012 under the Obama Administration.

Yes, gentle readers. He worked for Comey in the Southern District of New York.

That’s why he did not go after Comey as roughly as he could (or should) have.

To this day, there is no evidence that he ordered any sort of inspection into AG Lynch’s meeting with Former President Bill Clinton on a tarmac in 2016 and then a week later when Hillary Clinton was given a pass by crooked FBI Director Comey.

In fact, we don’t know that the IG looked into any number of Obama era crimes and corrupt actions.

It appears that as far as he and his boss, President Barack Hussein Obama were concerned, Obama did indeed have a “Scandal-Free Administration”

However, we know that was not the case.

The DOJ’s Southern District of New York Office has been the stomping grounds of several of those involved in this ongoing Legal Lynch Mob out to get President Trump, including Former FBI Director Comey, FBI IG Horowitz, Mueller Investigator Andrew Weissman, Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance, Jr, and Daniel Goldman, who appeared as an attorney for the Democrats in the House Judiciary Committee Impeachment Inquiry Hearing yesterday.

All of them either worked in that office or had judicial standing in that district.

Back on March 5, 2019, Breitbart.com reported that

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) announced on Tuesday that the House Intelligence Committee he chairs has hired Daniel Goldman to be a senior adviser and lead the committee’s investigative operations as it continues its probe into the President Donald Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with Russia.

Goldman, who frequently appears as a legal analyst on NBC and MSNBC, worked as Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York from 2007 and 2017, according to his bio on the Brennan Center for Justice, a George Soros-funded organization that recently named him a fellow in one of its programs.

For a long time, I have been stating that Spygate and the resulting failed Mueller Investigation, otherwise known as the Russian Collusion Fairy Tale, was like a giant spider’s web, leading back to the Obama Administration, during which the Deep State Operation to stop Donald J. Trump from becoming President began.

I also observed early on that the Southern District of New York was playing a major role in the Deep State’s Silent Coup, as well.

Even the late, great novelist Tom Clancy could not dream of a treasonous plot to depose of a sitting President which runs so deep within our own government and which has so many moving parts.

As the late, great Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock used to observe,

Fascinating.

…and horrifying.

Until He Comes,

KJ
