You couldn’t find a group of people outside of an insane asylum who are just more out of touch with reality [than actors]. – Chuck Woolery

Now, I realize that I’m just an old cranky cracka’ living in Dixie, but, I repeat, you gotta be kiddin’ me!

What does she even know about politics…except where to find the television cameras at a political event?

Here is a short, unauthorized biography, courtesy of discoverthenetworks.org

Oprah Gail Winfrey was born to an unmarried teenage mother on January 29, 1954, and was raised by her maternal grandmother on a Mississippi farm until the age of 6. She was then sent to live with her mother in Milwaukee, where, from ages 9 to 13, she was repeatedly molested by male relatives and another visitor. At age 14 she gave birth to a premature baby who died shortly thereafter. Winfrey then moved to Nashville, Tennessee to live with her father and his wife. The couple provided the girl with discipline and stability, and Winfrey became an honors student in high school.

At age 17, Winfrey won the Miss Black Tennessee beauty pageant and was hired for an on-air job at WVOL Radio in Nashville. She also won a full scholarship to Tennessee State University, where she majored in speech communications and performing arts. After graduating, Winfrey took a job as a news anchor at Nashville’s WLAC-TV. In 1976 she became a news co-anchor at Baltimore’s WJZ-TV, where she also co-hosted her first talk show. And in January 1984, Winfrey moved to Illinois to host A.M. Chicago for WLS-TV. Less than a year later, the program was renamed The Oprah Winfrey Show. It entered national syndication in 1986 and became the highest-rated talk show in television history. Also in 1986, Winfrey established Harpo Studios, a production facility in Chicago.

…Winfrey made headlines in September 2006 when she told interviewer Larry King that she hoped Barack Obama, her favorite U.S. senator, would run for president. The following month, she interviewed Obama and his wife (Michelle) and promoted the senator’s book, The Audacity of Hope, propelling it instantly to bestseller status.

In the Fall of 2007, Winfrey held a fundraiser for Obama’s presidential campaign at her California home and raised several million dollars.[1] When Obama secured the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in June 2008, Winfrey said: “I’m euphoric … And if he wants me to [campaign for him], I’m ready to go door-to-door.”

In August 2008, Winfrey attended the Democratic National Convention and likened the experience of hearing Obama speak to what it might have been like “to sit and listen to Lincoln speak or Roosevelt speak or … to understand what Martin Luther King was saying 45 years ago.”[2]

In October 2008 Winfrey hosted a second fundraiser for Obama, this time in Chicago.

Winfrey has stated that “everybody should see” former Vice President Al Gore’s 2006 film An Inconvenient Truth, which asserts that the greenhouse gases produced by fossil-fuel combustion are major causes of potentially catastrophic global warming. According to Winfrey’s Oprah.com website, Gore’s film delivers “the sobering news about a threat to our civilization’s future.” Winfrey herself owns a gas-guzzling, $42 million private jet, of which she once said: “Anyone that tells you that having your own private jet isn’t great is lying to you.”

On the subject of immigration reform, Winfrey has called for “a clear path-to-citizenship for the 12 million undocumented immigrants who reside in this country.” She has also voiced her belief that government has a duty to give low-income people “access to healthy food and a roof over the heads and a strong public education.”

In August 2013, soon after a “white Hispanic” neighborhood-watch captain named George Zimmerman had been acquitted of manslaughter charges connected to a high-profile 2012 altercation in which he had shot and killed a black teenager named Trayvon Martin, Winfrey said: “To me, it’s ridiculous to look at that case and not to think that race was involved.” She also stated: “Trayvon Martin parallel to Emmett Till, let me just tell you: In my mind, same thing.” Till, whose death helped galvanize the early civil-rights movement, was a 14-year-old black teen who in 1955 was kidnapped by two white men in Mississippi who beat him, gouged out one of his eyes, shot him in the head, and dumped his body into the Tallahatchie River.

There’s more, but for the sake of brevity…and our mutual sanity, I’ll leave it up to your judgment whether you wish to read any additional information about her or not.

As you may or may not remember, Oprah was very active during Barack Hussein Obama’s ascension to the Presidency of the United States, remaining a close friend and a trusted advisor to him and Mooch…err…Michelle throughout both terms.

The circle that she has traveled in and the causes which she has championed have made her a darling of the Liberal Elite on both the East and Left Coasts.

The hoi polloi fawn over her as if she is royalty, so, it really should not surprise any of us that NBC/Comcast floated this trial balloon on Twitter, echoing a consistent fervently whispered hope which has been communicated among those same “special” travelers.

How lucky we are, as mere 9 to 5 peons to have our next president selected for us by those who view themselves as our intellectual superiors.

Why, it just takes one’s breath away, doesn’t it?

And makes you want to blow chunks.

Now, I have written numerous articles regarding the self-righteousness of the Hollywood and New York Showbiz Elite. to paraphrase the great Val Kilmer (who is battling throat cancer, God bless him) as Doc Holliday in “Tombstone”,

Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Have the dancing monkeys in Tinseltown and the Big Apple not figured out that the America People revolted against their political philosophy and their opinions as to how we should live our lives on November 8, 2016?

Have they not gotten a clue, yet?

At this point, all their incessant national temper tantrum is doing, is making them look like fools.

I don’t remember any of us average Americans asking them for their opinion as to how we should vote, do you?

Perhaps, if they got their noses out of the air and actually associated with their families and former friends “back home”, instead of kissing each other’s hindquarters at the latest Premiere or “social event”, perhaps they and reality would not have taken divergent paths, and they would conduct themselves and comport themselves like the “stars” of the past, who volunteered for service in World War II , entertained troops with the U.S.O, or staged NON-POLITICAL Fundraisers after natural disasters.

These self-proclaimed “activist” actors, are making a lie out of the claim that they have made for years that they are the most tolerant…and “gifted” among us.

In fact, these sore losers remind me of the hysterically sobbing children that you hear in every Walmart across the country.

It’s not that those children are crying because they are physically hurt. Just like these Hollywood Liberals, they’re crying because they did not get their way.

And now, they want us to vote in one of their number as the next President of the United States of America.

Will she give us all new cars like she did her audience?

Just kidding.

I would rather walk.

Until He Comes,

KJ

Oprah, Emmett, and Trayvon: The Rich, The Innocent, and The Lost

August 7, 2013

tillmartin

The other day, during a television interview, Talk Show Queen and Obama sycophant Oprah Winfrey made the following statement…

It’s so easy during this time, Trayvon Martin, Trayvon Martin parallel to Emmett Till, let me just tell you. In my mind, same thing. But you can get stuck in that and not allow yourself to move forward and to see how far we’ve come.

Let’s examine both stories, shall we?

Emmett Till grew up in a working-class neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. Even though he had attended a segregated elementary school, he was unprepared for the level of segregation he encountered in Mississippi. His mother warned him that race relations were different where his cousins lived, but Emmett enjoyed pulling pranks. On August 24, while standing with his cousins and some friends outside a country store in Money, Mississippi, Emmett bragged to his buddies that his girlfriend back home was white. Emmett’s friends did not believe him, and dared Emmett to go ask the white woman sitting behind the store counter for a date.

Emmett went in, bought some candy, and on the way out was heard saying, “Bye, baby” to the woman. There were no witnesses in the store, but Carolyn Bryant, the woman behind the counter, claimed that he grabbed her, made lewd advances, and then wolf-whistled at her as he nonchalantly left the store.

The woman’s husband, Roy Bryant, the owner of the store, returned from a business trip a few days later and found out how Emmett had spoken to his wife. Insanely mad, he and his brother-in-law J.W. Milam, went to the home of Till’s great-uncle, Mose Wright, in the early morning hours of August 28, 1955. The pair demanded to see the boy. Despite his uncle’s pleas to leave him alone, they forced Emmett into their car. After driving around in the Memphis night, and perhaps beating Till in a toolhouse behind Milam’s residence, they drove him down to the Tallahatchie River.

14-year-old Emmett Till, an African American from Chicago, was brutally murdered that fateful morning. During the assault, the two men made Emmett carry a 75-pound cotton-gin fan to the bank of the Tallahatchie River and ordered him to take off his clothes. They then beat him nearly to death, gouged out his eye, shot him in the head, and threw his body, tied to the cotton-gin fan with barbed wire, into the river.

HIs body was recovered three days later,  but was so disfigured that Mose Wright could only identify it by an initialed ring. Authorities wanted to bury the body quickly, but Till’s mother, Mamie Bradley, requested it be sent back to Chicago. After seeing the mutilated remains, she decided to have an open-casket funeral so that all the world could see what racist murderers had done to her only son. Jet, an African American weekly magazine, published a photo of Emmett’s corpse, and soon the mainstream media picked up on the story.

In the case of Trayvon Martin, it was the “victim” who was the attacker.

With a single punch, 17-year-old High School Football Player Trayvon Martin decked Neighborhood Watch Volunteer, George Zimmerman. Then, Trayvon climbed on top of George Zimmerman and slammed his head into the sidewalk, over and over again, while Zimmerman pleaded for him to get off of him.

Zimmerman had turned around and was walking back to his SUV when Trayvon approached him from behind, the two exchanged words and then Trayvon punched him in the nose, sending him to the ground, and began beating him.

Zimmerman said he was on his way to the grocery store when he spotted Trayvon walking through his gated community.

Trayvon was visiting his father’s fiancée, who lived there. He had been suspended from school in Miami after being found with an empty marijuana baggie. Miami schools have a zero-tolerance policy for drug possession.

When Zimmerman first spotted Trayvon, he called police and reported a suspicious person, describing Trayvon as black, acting strangely and perhaps on drugs.

Zimmerman got out of his SUV to follow Trayvon on foot. When a dispatch employee asked Zimmerman if he was following the 17-year-old, Zimmerman said yes. The dispatcher told Zimmerman he did not need to do that.

Zimmerman told the dispatcher that he lost sight of Trayvon and was walking back to his SUV when Trayvon approached him from the left rear, and they exchanged words.

Trayvon asked Zimmerman if he had a problem. Zimmerman said no and reached for his cell phone. Trayvon then said, “Well, you do now” and punched Zimmerman in the nose.

Trayvon started slamming Zimmerman’s head into the sidewalk, while hitting him with Martial-Arts Style blows.

After Trayvon refused to stop, Zimmerman  shot Trayvon once in the chest.

When police arrived less than two minutes later, Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose, had a swollen lip and had bloody lacerations to the back of his head.

Paramedics gave him first aid but he said he did not need to go to the hospital. He got medical care the next day.

And, we all know what happened after that. Trayvon became a cause celebre…a focal point by which American’s Race Baiters, including the President of the United States, could grab the spotlight and, somehow, try to become relevant again.

These Race Baiters, supported by our own Federal Government, pushed for a charge of murder against Zimmerman, even though all the evidence pointed overwhelmingly to self-defense. They didn’t want justice. They wanted a lynching.

And, they almost had one. The judge assigned to the case was a lifelong Liberal and Obama Supporter. If the evidence had not been so overwhelmingly in Zimmerman’s favor, he would have been buried under the jail.

The Liberal Media had him convicted before the trial even started. Beginning with NBC’s editing of an audio tape of the attack, to make it seem as if Zimmerman was guilty.

The president even became personally involved in this local matter, proclaiming that if he had a son, he would look like Trayvon.

At least he resembled him with the “chooming” part….I don’t know if the president likes “Purple Drank” or not.

And now, Oprah, desperate to create buzz for her new movie, “The Butler”, comes out with the most ignorant comparison I have seen in a long while.

Emmett Till was an innocent young boy.

Trayvon Martin was a dope-smoking, Purple Drank-drinking, vulgarity-spewing (as the Daily Caller proved, by publishing his tweets), 17-year-old High School Football playing, Gangsta Wannabe.

Hardly someone to hold up as a role model, except if you want an entire generation to be stuck in the same dead-end, hopeless, government-dependent existence that Trayvon was headed toward, when his young life ended.

The stories of Emmett Till and Trayvon Martin did have two things in common, though: they ended much too soon and, they both ended because of ignorance and hatred.

Emmett’s life ended because of the ignorance and hatred of others.

Trayvon’s ended because of his own.

Until He Comes,
