Brexit and the 2016 Presidential Election: Reclaiming Sovereignty

June 24, 2016

Logo_brexit_new_size2Britain has been on the right side of history regarding Europe since the French Revolution in 1789. There is a deeply ingrained sense in British culture that, when it comes to Europe, we are right to be close, but also right to be sufficiently distant so as not to be sucked into all the nonsense. – thecommentor.com (British Website), May 16, 2016

Breitbart.com reports that

British voters chose to “leave” the European Union on Thursday, defying the polls — and President Barack Obama, who had urged Britain to “remain” in the EU. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had also urged Britain to stay in the EU. Only Donald Trump had backed the campaign to leave.

Republican strategists had panned Trump’s decision to travel to the UK in the midst of campaign turmoil, and in the wake of his blistering attack on Hillary Clinton earlier this week.

Now, however, it looks like a risk that paid off handsomely, in the currency of foreign policy credibility.

Obama’s advice may have pushed some voters to “leave.” In April, he warned British voters they would be at the “back of the queue” in trade with the U.S. if they left the EU. Some, like Andrew Roberts, took offense, writing in the Wall Street Journal:

Surely—surely—this is an issue on which the British people, and they alone, have the right to decide, without the intervention of President Obama, who adopted his haughtiest professorial manner when lecturing us to stay in the EU, before making the naked threat that we would be sent “to the back of the queue” (i.e., the back of the line) in any future trade deals if we had the temerity to vote to leave.

Was my country at the back of the line when Winston Churchill promised in 1941 that in the event of a Japanese attack on the U.S., a British declaration of war on Japan would be made within the hour?

Were we at the back of the line on 9/11, or did we step forward immediately and instinctively as the very first of your allies to contribute troops to join you in the expulsion of the Taliban, al Qaeda’s hosts, from power in Afghanistan?

Or in Iraq two years later, was it the French or the Germans or the Belgians who stood and fought and bled beside you? Whatever views you might have over the rights or wrongs of that war, no one can deny that Britain was in its accustomed place: at the front of the line, in the firing line. So it is not right for President Obama now to threaten to send us to the back of the line.

Hillary Clinton also backed a “remain” vote in April, with a senior policy adviser issuing a statement on her behalf:

Hillary Clinton believes that transatlantic cooperation is essential, and that cooperation is strongest when Europe is united. She has always valued a strong United Kingdom in a strong EU. And she values a strong British voice in the EU.

Trump, who happens to be in Scotland to open a golf resort, promised in May that leaving the EU would not put Britain at the “back of the queue,” and said: “I think if I were from Britain I would probably want to go back to a different system.” He reiterated that support last week, telling the Sunday Times: “I would personally be more inclined to leave, for a lot of reasons like having a lot less bureaucracy. … But I am not a British citizen. This is just my opinion.”

Per Fox News, Trump also said,

The people of the United Kingdom have exercised the sacred right of all free peoples. They have declared their independence from the European Union, and have voted to reassert control over their own politics, borders and economy.

Once again, American businessman and entrepreneur Donald J. Trump turned out to be smarter than professional politicians. Imagine that.

Yesterday’s vote by the citizens of the United Kingdom to leave the European Union is being hailed as a referendum on British sovereignty , just as the upcoming presidential election in November will be a referendum on American sovereignty.

Just as  the majority of Americans are concerned about our weakened global position, thanks to the poor stewardship of Barack Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry, the good people who dwell on the other side of the White Cliffs of Dover were tired of their continued sovereignty being threatened by out-of-control globalism.

According to BBC News,

Boris Johnson has insisted the UK is not “turning its back” on Europe after its decision to vote to leave the EU.
The decision would not make the UK any less tolerant nor outward looking and would not reduce opportunities for young people, the ex-London mayor said.

The UK, he added, had a “glorious opportunity” to take control and “take the wind out of the sails” of those “playing politics” with immigration.
Mr Johnson has been installed as the bookies’ favourite to succeed the PM.

The former Conservative mayor of London has been installed as favourite to take over as Conservative leader after Mr Cameron announced he would step down by October, but he declined to comment on the issue.

The similarity between America’s concerns over Muslim Immigration and those of Great Britian over the same issue are striking.

If you do your own research, as I have, you will find out that our friends across the pond have a lot of the same concerns that we do, as pertains to the massive influx of Syrian “Refugees” and Muslims from Southeast Asia, that have come in and tried to establish Sharia law.

The citizens of the United Kingdoms’ desire to decide their own future and not leave it in the hands of Professional Politicians and Bureaucrats from other countries and their enablers from their own nation provided the impetus for yesterday’s historic vote to leave the European Union.

The European Union started out as a helpful and necessary entity when it was formed to deal with strengthening Europe after the devastation of World War II.

However, just as we have witnessed in our own Sovereign Nation, Liberal Politicians can take something which was designed to “do good” and, in their “Progressive” way, turn it into a Frankenstein’s Monster, who creates its own path of destruction , taking away the citizens of that Sovereign Country’s right to self-determination.

Yesterday, the citizens of Great Britain took back that right.

In November, God willing, Americans will do the same.

Obama Hypocritically Lectures UK. American Citizens to British: “Welcome to the party, pal!”

April 23, 2016

th (67)I believe the most compelling explanation of Obama’s actions is that he is, just like his father, an anti-colonialist. Anti-colonialism is the idea that the rich countries got rich by looting the poor countries, and that within the rich countries, plutocratic and corporate elites continue to exploit ordinary citizens. – Dinesh D’Souza. “Why Obama is an Anti-colonialist”, The Washington Post, 10/18/2010

The Daily Mail reports that

President Barack Obama told Britain today that it would have to ‘go to the back of the queue’ if it leaves the European Union, then tries to negotiate its own trade deal with the United States.

A US-UK trade agreement is not going to happen ‘any time soon,’ Obama said during a joint news conference with British Prime Minister David Cameron.

‘Not because we don’t have a special relationship but because given the heavy lift on any trade agreement, us having access to a big market with a lot of countries rather than trying to do piecemeal trade agreements, which is hugely inefficient,’ the U.S. leader said.

Obama faced a furious backlash overseas this morning over what has been called a ‘downright hypocritical’ push for Britain to stay in the European Union.

In a highly controversial intervention in the EU referendum campaign, Obama pleaded with British voters in a local newspaper and then the press conference not to cut ties with Brussels.

‘The United States wants a strong United Kingdom as a partner, and the United Kingdom is at its best when it is helping to lead a strong Europe,’ Obama said during a news conference at Britain’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

In his op-ed Obama also invoked the spirit of the Second World War by claiming the sacrifice of GIs meant America has a stake in the EU debate and said the decision in June’s referendum ‘will echo in the prospects of today’s generation of Americans as well’.

London Mayor Boris Johnson accused him of making an ‘incoherent’ and ‘inconsistent’ argument.

A furious Johnson said this morning: ‘The Americans would never contemplate anything like the EU, for themselves or for their neighbors in their own hemisphere. Why should they think it right for us?’

Obama told residents of the UK today he doesn’t believe he’s overstepping.

Ultimately ‘this is a decision for the people of the United Kingdom to make,’ he told them.

‘I’m not coming here to fix any votes. I’m not casting a vote myself. I’m offering my opinion, and in democracies everybody should want more information, not less, and you shouldn’t be afraid to hear an argument being made.

He said, ‘That’s not a threat, that should enhance the debate.’

The U.S. president said he feels its his prerogative to clarify the U.S. position rather than have it defined by British politicians.

‘So they are voicing an opinion about what the United States is going to do, I figured you might want to hear from the president of the United States what I think the United States is going to do,’ he said.

‘And on that matter, for example, I think it’s fair to say that maybe some point down the line there might be a UK-US trade agreement, but it’s not going to happen any time soon because our focus is in negotiating with a big bloc, the European Union, to get a trade agreement done.

He added, ‘The UK is going to be in the back of the queue.’

Obama brought up WWII and the international institutions the US and UK designed together including the United Nations, the IMF, the World Bank, and NATO.

‘All of those in some degree constrained our freedom to operate and occasionally we had to deal with some bureaucracy,’ he said, ‘it meant that on occasion we had to persuade other countries and we don’t get 100 percent of what we want in each case but we knew that by doing so, everybody was going to be better off.’

He again the UK involvement in the EU ‘magnifies’ the nation’s power – ‘it doesn’t diminish it’ and argued that ‘divisions in Europe’ would weaken NATO.

‘That’ll have an impact on our collective security,’ he stated. ‘I have a confidence in the UK, and I know that if we are not working effectively with Paris or Brussels then those attacks are going to migrate to the United States and to London, I want one of my strongest partners in that conversation.’

Hitting back at his critics, Obama said, ‘All of us cherish our sovereignty – our country is pretty vocal about that – but the US also recognizes that we strengthen our security through our membership of Nato, we strengthen our prosperity through organisations like the G7 and the G20.’

‘I believe the UK strengthens both our collective security and prosperity through the EU.’

If you have not heard about this, it’s a miracle.

First, Obama’s audacity is breathtaking.

The leaders of the United Kingdom did not ask us about our opinion of their planned exit from the European Union, a fractured organization at best.

For Obama to waltz in there, as if he was a guest lecturer at the University of Chicago, like he was in his younger days, is the height of arrogance.

Yesterday’s lecture was just one example of his true feelings about the United Kingdom , feelings which stem from an anti-colonialism, which he harbors, due to the fact that his ancestral homeland of Kenya, was once subservient to the British Empire.

Secondly, as the people of Great Britain noted, Obama is a hypocrite.

Just as he has lectured the American people, throughout his tenure as president of the United States, Obama is infamous for attempting to make people do as he says, and not as he does.

Petulant President Pantywaist, a name which I bestowed upon Obama, is actually a play on words that originated from a British writer, shortly after Obama took office, as Britain and the rest of our allies realized that Obama was spineless.

And…he was in way over his head.

As I have written before, Obama’s Foreign Policy has been feckless, to say the least.

Obama’s Foreign Policy Doctrine is comparable to the actions of pyromaniac, who lights a fire wherever he goes, oblivious to the consequences of his actions.

Just as the actual pyromaniac costs an untold amount of damage to people’s lives, so has Obama cost the United States of America an untold amount of possibly-unrepairable damage, by embracing our enemies and alienating our friends, during his tenure as president.

And, since Hillary Clinton, as Obama’s first Secretary of State, was responsible for a great deal of this damage, she most certainly does not need to be Obama’s successor.

Our next president has to be someone who can successfully negotiate, who is skilled at speaking to people one-on-one or around a Conference Table, and who will always have the best interests of the United States of America at heart, placing our nation and our people first, in everything that he does.

Hopefully ,the alienation of America’s allies, which has, intentionally or unintentionally, been accomplished by Obama and his two Secretary of States, Hillary Rodham Clinton and John F. Kerry, can be repaired.

Like the people of our country, I know that the citizens of our allies around the world, will breathe a sigh of relief, next January, when Obama leaves office.

As we have all found out,

With a “friend” like Barack Hussein Obama, who needs enemies?

UK/Europe Experiencing the Dangers of Lax Immigration Policies

May 29, 2013

muslimsignAs the UK tries to recover for the harsh realization that there are Radical Muslims in their country who mean them harm…

The former head of MI5 Dame Stella Rimington has called for British people to inform security services if they suspect their neighbours maybe extremists.

Dame Stella, who supports the Government’s controversial ‘snoopers’ charter’, said people need to be more alert because it is impossible for security services to spot every threat.

She called for a wartime vigilance and for people to be the Government’s ‘eyes and ears’ following the killing of Lee Rigby.

The 78-year-old, who was MI5’s first female Director General, said: ‘The community has the responsibility to act as the eyes and ears, as they did during the war … where there were all these posters up saying the walls have ears and the enemy is everywhere.

‘There have often been indications in the community, whether it’s Muslim or anywhere else, that people are becoming extremists and spouting hate phrases.’

Dame Stella said security services had to prioritise the most dangerous threats because ‘thousands’ of people were being radicalised in Britain.

She said further terror attacks on the UK were inevitable unless the country became a ‘police state’.

The United Kingdom are not alone in their “Muslim Problem”.

In 2011, the Pew Research Organization published a report which stated that

In Europe as a whole, the Muslim share of the population is expected to grow by nearly one-third over the next 20 years, rising from 6% of the region’s inhabitants in 2010 to 8% in 2030. In absolute numbers, Europe’s Muslim population is projected to grow from 44.1 million in 2010 to 58.2 million in 2030. The greatest increases – driven primarily by continued migration – are likely to occur in Western and Northern Europe, where Muslims will be approaching double-digit percentages of the population in several countries. In the United Kingdom, for example, Muslims are expected to comprise 8.2% of the population in 2030, up from an estimated 4.6% today. In Austria, Muslims are projected to reach 9.3% of the population in 2030, up from 5.7% today; in Sweden, 9.9% (up from 4.9% today); in Belgium, 10.2% (up from 6% today); and in France, 10.3% (up from 7.5% today).

At the same time Pew was preparing this report, a non-profit think tank was preparing a report on the same phenomena.

From their website:

Gatestone Institute is a non-partisan, not-for-profit international policy council and think tank is dedicated to educating the public about what the mainstream media fails to report in promoting:

Institutions of Democracy and the Rule of Law;

Human Rights

A free and strong economy

A military capable of ensuring peace at home and in the free world

Energy independence

Ensuring the public stay informed of threats to our individual liberty, sovereignty and free speech.

Gatestone Institute conducts national and international conferences, briefings and events for its members and others, with world leaders, journalists and experts — analyzing, strategizing, and keeping them informed on current issues, and where possible recommending solutions.

The following excerpt is from an article titled, “Europe’s Inexorable March Towards Islam” by Soeren Kern, posted December 29, 2011…

Post-Christian Europe became noticeably more Islamized during 2011.

As the rapidly growing Muslim population makes its presence felt in towns and cities across the continent, Islam is transforming the European way of life in ways unimaginable only a few years ago.

What follows is a brief summary of some of the more outrageous Islam-related controversies that took place in Europe during 2011.

In Austria, an appellate court upheld the politically correct conviction of Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff, a Viennese housewife and anti-Jihad activist, for “denigrating religious beliefs” after she gave a series of seminars about the dangers of radical Islam. The December 20 ruling showed that while Judaism and Christianity can be disparaged with impunity in postmodern multicultural Austria, speaking the truth about Islam is subject to swift and hefty legal penalties.

Also in Austria, the King Abdullah Center for Inter-Religious and Inter-Cultural Dialogue was inaugurated at the Albertina Museum in downtown Vienna on October 13. The Saudis say the purpose of the multi-million-dollar initiative is to “foster dialogue” between the world’s major religions in order to “prevent conflict.” But critics say the center is an attempt by Saudi Arabia to establish a permanent “propaganda center” in central Europe from which to spread the conservative Wahhabi sect of Islam.

In Belgium, it was revealed that Muslims now make up one-quarter of the population of Brussels, according to a new book published by the Catholic University of Leuven, the top French-language university in Belgium. In real terms, the number of Muslims in Brussels — where half of the number of Muslims in Belgium currently live — has reached 300,000, which means that the self-styled “Capital of Europe” is now the most Islamic city in Europe.

Also in Belgium, the most popular name in Brussels for baby boys in 2011 was Mohammed. It was also the most popular name for baby boys in Belgium’s second-largest city, Antwerp, where an estimated 40% of elementary school children are Muslim.

Separately, the Islamist group Sharia4Belgium intensified a propaganda and intimidation campaign aimed at turning the country into an Islamic state. In September, the group established an Islamic Sharia law court in Antwerp, the second-largest city in Belgium. Leaders of the group say the purpose of the court is to create a parallel Islamic legal system in Belgium to challenge the state’s authority as enforcer of the civil law protections guaranteed by the Belgian constitution.

In Britain, a Muslim group launched a campaign to turn twelve British cities — including what it calls “Londonistan” — into independent Islamic states. These so-called Islamic Emirates would function as autonomous enclaves ruled by Islamic Sharia law and operate entirely outside British jurisprudence.

Separately, it was revealed that more than 2,800 so-called honor attacks — punishments for bringing shame on the family — were recorded by British police last year, according to the first-ever national estimate of the problem. The highest number of honor crimes — which include murder, mutilation, beatings, abductions and acid attacks — was recorded in London, where the problem has doubled to more than five times the national average.

The data comes on the heels of another report which shows that tens of thousands of Muslim immigrants in Britain are practicing bigamy or polygamy to collect bigger social welfare payments from the British state.

The September 24 report shows that the phenomenon of bigamy and polygamy — which are permitted by Islamic Sharia law — is far more widespread in Britain than previously believed, even though it is a crime there, punishable by up to seven years in prison.

The rapid growth in multiple marriages is being fueled by multicultural policies that grant special rights to Muslim immigrants who demand that Sharia law be reflected in British law and the social welfare benefits system.

Think about this…this report is from two years ago, before the European dhimmis clamped down on reports detailing the “Muslim Problem”.

Europe’s “Muslim Problem” is a demonstration as to what happens when a non-indigenous population moves into a country and does not assimilate into the normal traditions and customs of that nation, and, instead, keep their own traditions and laws, separating themselves from the indigenous population in the name of “multiculturalism”, the opposite of the “Melting Pot”, which helped to form the greatest nation on the face of the Earth, the United States of America.

By bringing “their own country” with them, they have no impetus to become patriotic citizens of their host country, and are therefore, in their own minds, not subject to the laws of that nation, leading to their own internal justification of any acts of violence that they may take against the indigenous citizens of their host country.

And, that, boys and girls, is exactly why the “Gang of Eight’s Immigration Reform Bill” is a bad idea.
